Travelling by car?
Birmingham International Airport is on the A45 Coventry Road, 8 miles (12km) east of Birmingham City Centre and close to junction 6 of the M42. There are direct connections to the M1, M5, M6 and M40. The Airport is sign-posted from motorways and major roads and is marked on all good quality road maps.
Also M6 toll provides Fast, Effective, Relief from the M6. The motorway is a 27 mile, dual 3-lane carriageway between Junctions 4 and 11 of the M6, exit at junction T1 for the airport.

Car Parking...

Dropping off passengers?
Use the new 'Drop and Go' facility which is located adjacent to both T1 & T2 terminals. Typical prices in the 'Drop and Go' area are £1 for 15 minutes, £2 for 30 minutes then £5 per 15 minutes thereafter (prices as of 4th February 2010 - subject to change).

Travelling by train?
Birmingham International station links Birmingham International Airport with the rest of the UK's rail network via fast and frequent Intercity services; London Euston is one and a half hour's journey time. There are frequent services to Birmingham City Centre just 10 minutes away offering a convenient interchange for services to all parts of the UK.

Travelling using Air-Rail?
The free Air-Rail will whisk you from Birmingham International Station to the passenger terminals in just 90 seconds. These depart to/from the station every 2 minutes. It also provides a fast link between the airport and NEC.

The Air-Rail link operates to/from the terminal on the first floor of Terminal 1 (T1) departures adjacent to the food village. Running hours 05:00 - 02:30.

Travelling by bus?
Local bus services now operate from the bus stops directly opposite Terminal 1 and travel to local destinations including Birmingham, Erdington, Coventry and Solihull.

Travelling by coach?
Frequent coach services to the Airport are operated by a number of coach companies. Coach stops are located directly opposite Terminal 1 arrivals.

Travelling by bike?
Birmingham Airport is working with local authorities and sustainable transport charity, Sustrans, to develop safer and more pleasant routes for cyclists to the Airport. A two mile long segregated route is available over the A45 and continuing to the south, linking with quiet routes to Solihull and Coventry.

Cycle parking
Free short term cycle parking is available near Terminal 1 Departures.

Getting to the NEC (National Exhibition Centre)
Birmingham International Airport is adjacent to the NEC, the UK’s premier exhibition venue. From the first floor of Terminal 1 take Air-Rail Link to Birmingham International rail station. Then follow the directional signs to the NEC. It is approximately a 5 minute walk to the main exhibition halls via a covered walkway.
